Loc: Law Day, Cultural Issues in the Courts

In honor of Law Day, the Library of Congress hosted a program: Cultural Issues in the Courts. A panel of cross-cultural experts discussed the cases in which various individuals from other countries pleaded "cultural defense," stating that the traditions and customs of their homeland wre different than here in the United States, and therefore, their actions were warranted.
