Fifth graders demonstrate the concept of perimeter and area using manipulative. In this area and perimeter lesson, 5th graders explore area and perimeter through the exploration style of teaching using eatable and non-eatable manipulative. Students will draw area and perimeter shapes to model the concept, written explanations of how area and perimeter are found will be required.
