Young scholars examine the lives and contributions of people who have worked in the fields of genetics and biotechnology. Students work in small groups and read a biography of a person associated with genetics. After filling out a comparison chart for their scientist, young scholars share their information with other groups. Students complete the comparison chart on the other scientists then write a biography about a hypothetical geneticist of the future.
