This Rational, Irrational and Square Roots lesson plan also includes:
Seventh graders identify rational and irrational numbers and then, estimate the square root of numbers that are not perfect squares. They then identify what the radical is and differentiate between that and a division symbol clearly. Students also identify and locate the value of perfect squares in order to find the square root of other numbers without using their calculators.
