Learners explore mathematics, geography and agriculture by studying world rice production. In this production of rice instructional activity, students read One Grain of Rice and use a worksheet grid to calculate how much rice was received. Learners identify all the places in the world that grow rice and find them on a map. Students rub rice kernels until the hulls are removed and answer comprehension and economic questions about rice.
