In this environmental protection lesson, 1st graders complete four activities to analyze the importance of our natural resources and what trash does to the environment. Students collect litter and analyze the group it belongs in. Students listen to stories, poems, and complete a recycling activity. Students collect and recycle trash into something useful and complete journal reflections.
