Designing Samples/Simple Random Samples

Pupils explore the concept of sampling techniques. In this sampling techniques instructional activity, students identify possible sources of bias in situations such as phone polls, supermarket surveys, and drawing names from a phone book. Pupils discuss the importance of having a large sample that is unbiased and representative of the population.
