Second graders study animal characteristics and classification. In this animal characteristics and classifications lesson, 2nd graders determine how to classify vertebrates which include mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and fish. They examine images of the different animals online before drawing one of each. They use their drawings to play a game of "Which animal am I?"
