Learning 7 - Write the Number

Encourage number confidence by focusing on one number at a time; young counters examine the number seven, starting by tracing the numeral three times and printing a few more on their own. Next, they count three sets of flowers in an image and record the total for each (they're all seven). They copy two domino patterns and complete a 1-10 number sentence by filling in the seven. Encourage kids to observe the dominos carefully, as they are a good introduction to beginning addition.
