One must obey the sine laws. A lesson introduces and derives the Law of Sines for non-right triangles. With examples that use the Law of Sines to determine unknown measures in triangles, the lesson checks to see if the Law of Sines also works for right triangles.

  • Have pairs construct triangles with unknown measurements that can be determined using the Law of Sines and trade with other pairs
  • After showing the class how to derive the first part of the Law of Sines, have them derive the second part
