Ninth graders identify bloodborne pathogens and examine universal precautions. They listen to a speaker from the Health Department speak about bloodborne pathogens, conduct Internet research and discuss OSHA guidelines for protection, and create a safety sign to be used in the workplace to remind employees of the need for universal precautions.
