Teach your special education students about cause and effect with this SMART board activity. After analyzing real-life examples of cause and effect -'What happens when you eat too much? What happens when you don't get enough sleep?"- seventh graders complete a graphic organizer and prepare for a cause and effect essay. Though the lesson plan is designed for a special education class with a ratio of 15:1, it could be modified for a standard language arts class.
