In this international festival lesson, students demonstrate an appreciation for the Sakura trees beauty by creating Sakura trees from white and pink dyed cotton balls and brown dyed Popsicle sticks. Students understand the gift of 2000 Sakura trees to Washington, DC in 1912 as a measure of good friendship.
