Multiply algebraic fractions. But first cancel or reduce the numerators and denominators, then do the multiplying. Cancel out the common factors in these monomials. It is always a good idea to reduce as much as possible before multiplying. It is much simpler to do it before than having to reduce numbers after they have been multiplied.
