Whales are all big, but some are larger than others! Kids will love sorting the 10 whale species by size at their desk (whale cut-outs provided). Next, use a whale rope to visualize how long each of these whales actually is. A large outside space is recommended to get the full scale of some of the larger whales. Everything is included here except the rope!

  • Hand out whale images in envelopes to increase anticipation
Classroom Considerations

  • Ask a parent to spend an afternoon cutting out and laminating these whales so each student or pair of students is able to sort all 10, and you don't have to do it again next year
