Hopping by 2s

Hop to it! Young counters practice skip counting by two using illustrations of animals hopping from place to place. Each image shows a number sequence and scholars draw in the path as they move from number to number. Encourage them to count aloud as they do this. They also circle all the even numbers. Next, they solidify this concept with a number grid, shading in all the even numbers (a few are started for them). Finally, scholars skip count by two again to connect the dots and complete an image of a kangaroo. Numbers don't exceed 30.
