Instructional Ideas

  • Use activities as math workstations or ass a fun Friday resource
  • Have students use their own plastic rulers and use them as number lines, they can use dry erase markers to mark their jumps if needed
  • Using masking tape, make a giant number line in your classroom and have students take turns being the frog, hopping to add and subtract equations 

Classroom Considerations

  • Copy the black line masters and game pieces with card stock paper so that they last longer and store in Ziploc® bags
  • Modify game to your style and classroom needs
  • A stuffed toy frog or plastic frog will be needed for demonstration of game
