Students investigate the effects of weights on the motion of a toy car. For this force and acceleration lesson plan, students use different weights, a toy car, a paper clip and string to determine how a car will move as different weights are hung from the car. Students design and conduct an investigation, draw diagrams of all the forces acting on the car, plot the relationship between mass of the weights and the speed of the car and answer 5 conclusion questions.
