"Closed for the Holiday" is an excellent account of the consequential events of the Great Depression focusing on the Stock Market Crash of 1929 as the beginning of the Great Depression, and ending with the emergency bank actions Franklin Roosevelt took to try to restore faith in the banking system. A good look at the Great Depression and how it affected all parts of society as well as a complete look at how the Emergency Banking Relief Act was passed so quickly.
