Arctic sea ice reflects 80 percent of sunlight, striking it back into space; with sea ice melting, the world's oceans become warmer, which furthers global warming. These activities explore how humans are impacting ecosystems around the world. The first lesson asks groups to research Hawaiian Monk Seals, focusing on their endangerment. In the second lesson, pupils analyze data, looking for changes in the thickness of Arctic sea ice and the impacts of these changes.
