Exploring Pattern Blocks

Pattern blocks are one of the best math manipulatives ever invented. They are used quite extensively in the math lesson presented here. Youngsters use the pattern block to fill in shapes that are present on the worksheet embedded in the plan. They use many different-shaped blocks to create some of the classic geometric shapes such as, the triangle, rhombus, trapezoid, and hexagon. A wonderful, hands-on math lesson for the little ones!
