It is so important for your adult English language learners to know how to maintain their household and find the appropriate service providers when needed. Instead of using a phone book (which is rare these days), reference the internet with your class. Also, instead of showing your class a typical dialogue between a customer and a service provider, have your language learners act one out in pairs to practice oral fluency.
