Biography of Louis Agassiz, a natural historian and a contemporary of Charles Darwin. He was most famous for developing his theory of an Ice Age. Agassiz argued vehemently against the theory of evolution, based on his interpretations of his own research. Towards the end of his life, his arguments pushed other scientists to delve more deeply into Darwin's work, leading to greater acceptance of the theory of evolution.
