Electing a president

Students create a list of characteristics of a president and reach consensus about the most important qualities.  In this electing a President instructional activity, students work in groups to choose the most important traits of a president and answer questions to determine which are the most important.  Students debate and compromise, then write articles for a class newspaper.  Students hold an election.
