Do You Want to Be My Friend?

Learners participate in a variety of emergent and early-literacy activities based on a "friendship" theme. Learners listen to the book Do You Want to Be My Friend by Eric Carle, then echo read, choral read, and independently read sections of the book daily throughout the week. They dramatize the story, write a friendship book, sort animal character pictures, and listen to many poems and stories based on "friendship."
