Crash Course World Mythology #14: Fire and Buffalo Goddesses

Curated by ACT

This video focuses on the characteristics of goddesses, and specifically two myths: from Hawaii, we're going to hear a story about Pe-le, the great goddess of the Hawaiian Islands, and we'll hear the story of the gifts of the White Buffalo Calf Woman from Native American tradition. We'll look at the similarities and the differences in these stories, and talk about how goddesses interact with the world and with humanity in pretty interesting ways. [12:26]
