Cornshuck Dolls

Students are shown examples of dolls from the Appalachian mountains area. Using corn, they trim as many shucks as they need and soak them in water. Using the shucks, they follow a set of instructions to make a cornshuck doll. To end the lesson, they draw a face on their doll and share them with the class.
