Learners explore Chief Cornplanter and his importance as the leader of the Seneca tribe. In this Chief Cornplanter instructional activity, students examine how the Seneca land was taken over by the right of eminent domain. Learners answer questions about the Seneca Indians and Chief Cornplanter. Students complete a graphic organizer on Frederick Bartoli, Cornplanter and a map of his land. Learners write points supporting their argument.
