This Condensation Station activity & project also includes:
Where does the water come from? Pupils conduct an experiment to learn more about condensation. Scholars fill two cups with ice water and isolate one from the surrounding air. They then use a coffee filter to compare the amount of water formed on the two cups and make the connection to the difference between the two cups.
- Lead a discussion on humidity and evaporation
- Use as an introduction to clouds and rain
- Requires access to ice
- Provides an alternative experiment if the humidity is not high enough to cause condensation
- Includes a description of what to expect
