Young scholars demonstrate the meaning of self-esteem and individuality. In this character education lesson, students discuss the meaning of self-esteem and self-image. Young scholars are divided into small groups and are shown photographs of individuals. Students study the photographs and discuss the stereotypes that the images portray. As an extension activity, young scholars host a Special Olympics awareness week.
