Students demonstrate the meaning of self-esteem and individuality. In this character education lesson, students discuss the meaning of self-esteem and self-image. Students are divided into small groups and are shown photographs of individuals. Students study the photographs and discuss the stereotypes that the images portray. As an extension activity, students host a Special Olympics awareness week.
