Is it a fact or an opinion? Get your kids up and moving during this reading comprehension activity. They listen to you read a book or passage (consider writing something yourself to get the ideal text), listening for facts and opinions. Make the phrases obvious by pausing after reading them. Scholars get up to go to one of three labelled areas: opinion, fact, or I don't know. They discuss with their group why they chose this term before discussing as a large group. Continue this until all kids seem to have a grasp of the concept.
