Students explore animal attraction by participating in a class construction project. In this bird feeder lesson, students discuss the different types of birds that inhabit their native area and identify the seeds they are typically attracted to. Students utilize a bird feeder kit, seeds and instructions to create a bird feeder in class which they use to examine birds up close.
