Balancing Chemical Equations

Students are introduced to the process of balancing chemical equations. First, they see that a chemical equation describes the chemical reaction that takes place when two elements are combined. In chemistry, that reaction must be written out in a balanced equation, meaning the elements that were combined are represented equally on both sides of the equation.
