Here is a unit designed to support English language development. Scholars speak, move, and write to learn more about topics that focus on community and local concepts. The series of lessons aids to reinforce concepts including consonant digraphs, base words and endings, double consonants, alphabetizing, nouns, exact words, vowel pairs in compound words, dictionary skills, context clues; as well as how to compare and contrast using a Venn diagram, read and write high frequency words, take notes on a nonfiction article, and write to an audience.
