Ar.... What Gives?

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Students investigate the properties of air through inflated objects. In this physical science lesson, students examine gas as a state of matter. Student push on inflated objects and note the space the gas has taken up inside. Students observe the force the gas inside an inflated object and how it can push back on the students hand. Students can then try to push heavy objects by creating and air pressure force to move a file cabinet.
