Instructional Ideas
- Assign as homework after your lesson on poetic devices
- See which kids can come up with the longest alliterative sentences
- Have kids work in partners to come up with the strongest sentences
- Make a class list of verbs, nouns, and adjectives that start with each letter so kids can choose words that they want to use
- Encourage learners to turn one (or all) of their sentences into a poem
Classroom Considerations
- Worksheet is in color, but printing in black and white shouldn't impede understanding as animal names are written next to the pictures
Pros
- Provides an answer key with suggestions for each space
Cons
- Only provides four opportunities to practice alliteration, with no additional activities
