During this lesson, eighth grade young scholars will be introduced to the properties of integer exponents (i.e. multiplying powers, dividing powers, raising a power to a power). The students will view a slideshow presentation that will introduce them to the three rules. The young scholars will use the attached graphic organizer to record the rules and examples.
