Middle schoolers review magazine ads and take a look at some of the most common advertising techniques. From analyzing these ads, youngsters begin to become aware of how advertisers target specific age groups, gender groups, and how they use images, music, and words to persuade. Groups of pupils are given five ads to analyze, and give their report to the rest of the class. An enlightening and entertaining lesson.
