Students investigate activation energy through endothermic and exothermic reactions. In this activation energy lesson plan, students conduct 2 experiments, one is an endothermic reaction and the other is an exothermic reaction. Students observe a demonstration with a brick and a noodle showing the need to add energy for the brick to fall and crunch the noodle. They correlate this to the energy needed for a reaction to proceed.
