  • Make one gratitude jar for the entire class or invite pupils to bring in a container for a personal gratitude jar
  • Plan time at the end of every day to complete an entry for the jar
  • Implement the jar at the beginning of November, maintain it till after Thanksgiving to shed light on the importance of feeling grateful  
Classroom Considerations
  • If the glass jar is not safe in your classroom, choose a plastic Tupperware or similar container
  • Prompts require copying and cutting
  • The initial jar decoration and explanation may take around 30 minutes; however, time will shorten when pupils write their entries
