Shape Shifters

Surfing Warm Up
Pupils, when the drums are playing, imitate a drummer. When the music changes (drums stop), students imitate a surfer, bending at the knees and moving up and down.

Fancy Dribbling
Students enter the playing area and pick up a ball of their choice to dribble. Then find a good self space and face the teacher with the ball between their feet. When the music starts they are to dribble all over the playing area.

Shape Toss
Young scholars get a bounce ball and find a Polyspot. On the teacher's signal, students underhand throw to a target. They keep their own score: one point each time they hit a target.

Toad Tag
Students who are chosen as taggers move throughout the area tagging others using a locomotor pattern of choice like walking, hopping, skipping, etc. When tagged, a spell has been cast upon them, turning them into a toad or frog.

Phone Tag
Students play tag with a foam ball. When a student gets tagged by a phone ball, they must walk over to the teacher and recite their phone number.

Students are in scattered formation within the playing area. The identified chasers each have a foam ball. On the signal they chase using a locomotor movement. When tagged a students changes movement.
