Students will compare and contrast various versions of Cinderella in the mini-unit. Students will engage in shared readings, an art project, and dramatic play during the unit.

These five activities allow students to explore the various Cinderella folktales, while comparing and contrasting the characters. They provide lesson extensions, links to charts, discussion questions and the like.

When students think of Cinderella, they usually think of the Disney version. In this lesson, 1st graders will learn about the Mexican fairy tale for Cinderella, Cendrillion.
