When it comes to the environment, no variable is constant. Class members graph behavior over time for the thneeds produced over truffula trees chopped down over the course of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax. 

Students create a graph, then listen to Dr. Seuss' book, My Many Colored Days. After the story, they do a similar graph and then compare the two graphs.

Young scholars use their Halloween candy to practice sorting and classifying. They compete a Venn diagram comparing their candy wrappers. They develop ways as a class to catorgize the candy in different ways.
