Young scholars create short video tutorials on various American Sign Language signs. This instructional activity is a six-day project that begins with internet research and ends with student self-evaluations of project results.

Young scholars access Internet (links provided on thsi lesson plan) and library resources to find the meanings of their first and/or last names. They also discuss the evolution of the concept of naming individuals.

Students use a CD-ROM to identify parts of the painting "Las Meninas". They complete a worksheet based on questions in the different segments of the CD-ROM. They research the royal family and compare them to other families and portraits....

Students use Internet and library resources to select and examine the origins of phrases or words, particularly words that have origins in other languages.

Students use Internet resources to examine the influence of technological terminology on English and other languages.
