Students intergrate science, technology and society into exploring the periodic table. They investigate one element of their choice and write a one page paper on the elements discovery, properties, uses, and the effect on society.

Students research chemical formulas and balance chemical equations.  In this chemical equations lesson students complete a class activity on chemical equations and answer questions.

Students explore the periodic table and learn the basic information given for elements: the name, symbol, atomic number, and atomic mass for each element.
