The committee is investigating potential obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump and his associates.

At the start of Wednesday's historic House Intelligence Committee impeachment hearings, Republicans tangled with the committee's chairman, Rep. Adam Schiff, over witnesses the Republicans wanted testimony from, including the whistleblower.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman said the president's phone call to Ukraine "was my worst fear of how our Ukraine policy was playing out."
