First graders put on puppet show and retell fairy tales.

Students listen to and retell familiar stories. They create fairytale homes based on those familiar stories. Students practice retelling familiar stories in their own words. They complete both assignments on The Three Little Pigs.

Fourth graders act out a mock fairy tale trial. They use a fairy tale like "The Three Little Pigs", "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", "Hansel and Grete"l, and/or "Little Red Riding Hood".

Fourth graders assume the roles of characters in familiar fairy tales and participate in a panel discussion using a talk show format.

Fourth graders participate in a play to work on seeing events from a different perspective. Some of them are reporters, some cameramen and women, and others are interviewed. They put themselves in the shoes of the people in the book...
