Fifth graders examine the history of the Passover holiday and the Seder traditions. They read and discuss a handout, answer discussion questions, read the book "Matzoh Mouse," identify the fourteen steps of the Seder, and take a quiz.

Students study historical facts about slavery and investigate slavery in the world today. They study the holiday of Passover and about organizations that help enslaved people in the world.

Students identify where vegetables originate from. In this agriculture activity, students use a search engine to find out where certain vegetables originate from. Students plot the information onto a world map.

Students receive instruction on Pidyon Shevuyim in a whole class setting. They work in small groups to read and answer question on the topic, and meet as a class to discuss their findings.
