Fifth graders explore communication by analyzing manners. In this social skills lesson, 5th graders review the different forms of communication and how to present yourself in a phone conversation, face to face meeting, e-mail, etc....

Students survey several concepts in literature, science, history, and geography as a preparation for the CSAP standardized testing experience. This nine lesson unit provides exposure to the format and content of the test.

Students are engaged in discussing air quality through hands-on demonstrations using balloons, sealed jars, and toy cars. Students conduct a home radon test to measure their air quality.

Students investigate the conditions needed for cloud formation and explore how pressure and temperature effect cloud formation.  In this atmospheric pressure lesson plan students complete a lab on cloud formation.
