Learners explore rhythmic movements. In this performing arts lesson, students create their own movements and then repeat the each others movement. Finally, learners create movements to the Haiku generated by the entire class.

Pupils practice moving in and out of spaces using a locomotor step. They jump on a given signal and continue moving. Students discuss the need for bent knees and ankles when they land. They demonstrate their unique sequence for the class.

Second graders follow a checklist and work together in groups to design a game. They present their games to the class including rules and safety issues and the class then votes and plays its favorite.
